Paula Melville-Clark is a well-known Australian music educator and accomplished pianist. She holds a BA, a Graduate Diploma in Music, a Masters degree in piano pedagogy, a Licentiate Diploma with the Guildhall School of Music (London) and is an accredited Dalcroze teacher. Her research into Music & the Body received a highly commended award from the Musicological Society of Australia.

She has held teaching positions in England, France, Hong Kong and Australia and was Lecturer in Music at the University of Southern Queensland from 1996 – 2008 and also the founding Director of the USQ Junior Academy of Music.

Paula is a regular guest teacher at many workshops and conferences throughout Australia and overseas including the Australasian Piano Pedagogy Conferences, national AUSTA string conference, the National Institute of Education in Singapore, the Dalcroze International Summer Schools, the UQ Summer Music Program and the Queensland Youth Orchestra Camps. She is active as an adjudicator of competitions and Eisteddfodau and an accompanist. In April 2019 she accompanied renowned UK soprano Helen Winter for her album of English songs 'Footsteps in the Sand'.

Paula has a busy studio in Toowoomba teaching piano from the early years through to Diploma level. She was President of the Music Teacher’s Association Toowoomba branch from 2018 - 2020, was President of the Toowoomba Eisteddfod from 2008 – 2010 and is Ambassador for Samick Australia.
